Exhibitions and the City: To Accelerate or Pause?
Two Case Studies
Volume 13, Number 2, March/April 2014
by Lucy Steeds
Article Description
In this paper, Lucy Steeds endeavours to move away from North Atlantic regimes of art history, shifting towards the global discipline-information of exhibition histories by taking a position on the role of Asian Pacific art and urbanism in two exhibition projects--Cities on the Move (1997–2000) and Project 1, P_A_U_S_E, of the fourth Gwangju Biennale (2002).
