Aileen June Wang
Aileen June Wang, Ph.D., is an adjunct professor at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and The College of New Jersey. She has specialized and published in the field of Italian Renaissance art, and worked at Christie’s New York. Her current research interests include Chinese artists whose work simultaneously engages classical traditional and contemporary perspectives, as well as artists of the Chinese diaspora. Wang is co-curator of two upcoming exhibitions on contemporary Chinese art in the New York area, How Chinese: Expanding the Discourse of Chinese Contemporary Art at the Chinese-American Arts Council (May 2009), and New Tales for Our Age at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey (December 2009).
