1Amjad Majid
Amjad Majid is a critic, writer, and IT consultant. He was born in Kashmir, India, and obtained an M.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2007. In 2009, he moved back to India, where he became active in the New Delhi art world as a critic, writing for international and local publications as well as contributing essays to catalogues. He has worked with prestigious art venues such as the National Gallery of Modern Art (Bangalore), the India Habitat Center (New Delhi), Gallery Espace (New Delhi), Latitude 28 (New Delhi), Sakshi Gallery (Mumbai), and Ink Studio (Beijing) with prominent artists such as Waswo X. Waswo, Sheba Chhachhi, Ravi Agarwal, Han Bing, and Fang Lu, and curators such as Maya Kóvskaya and Lina Vincent. In 2012 he relocated to Beijing and is now tackling his sixth language, Chinese, while teaching English and Spanish language and literature.
