1Apinan Poshyananda
Apinan Poshyananda, Ph.D., is a curator and writer in Asia. His recent publications include Traces of Siamese Smile: Art + Faith + Politics + Love (Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, 2008) and Thai Trends from Localism to Internationalism (Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, 2012). He has curated numerous shows, including Thai Trends from Localism to Internationalism (Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, 2012) and Thai Transience (Singapore Art Museum, 2012). He was guest curator of Thai Charisma: Heritage + Creative Power (Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, 2014). Poshyananda has lectured extensively on contemporary art in Asia, Europe, Australia, and the United States. He held residencies at the Asian Cultural Council, New York, and the Bellagio Center, Rockefeller Foundation, Italy, in 2000 and received the Outstanding National Researcher Award from the National Research Council of Thailand in 2002. For his contribution to civil service and international art, he was bestowed Knight, First Class of the Royal Order of the Polar Star by King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden
