Chen Shuxia

Chen Shuxia is a Ph.D. scholar at the Australian National University whose research focus is Chinese photography and artist groups in China. She was the recipient of the Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Greater China Research grant in 2014. Her essays have been published in academic journals such as Trans Asia Photography Review and Made In China 2017. She has curated exhibitions in Australia and China, such as A Home for Photography Learning: the Friday Salon, 1977–1980 in Beijing in 2018. She is editing and co-authoring a bilingual publication for this exhibition. Chen is the curator of China Gallery, the Chau Chak Wing Museum at the University of Sydney.
