1Hank Bull
Hank Bull is an artist based in Vancouver, on the unceded territories of the xwməθkwəyəm (Musqueam), Sḵwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil- Waututh) Nations. Since 1973, he has been associated the Western Front, an artist-run centre, where he developed a diverse practice that includes painting, music, radio art, performance, shadow theatre, video, publishing and curatorial practice. As a participant in global art networks, he has contributed to the development of artist-directed economies of exchange and produced numerous international collaborations. In 1999, he was a co-founder of the Vancouver International Centre for Contemporary Asian Art (Centre A), where he performed in the role of executive director until 2010. Today, he continues to produce and exhibit new work in a range of media. (www.hankbull.ca)
