1Henry Heng Lu
Henry Heng Lu is an artist and curator based in Vancouver, Toronto, and Shenzhen. He is co-founder of Call Again, a mobile initiative/collective committed to creating space for contemporary Asian diasporic artistic practices. Currently, he is Curator at Centre A: Vancouver International Centre for Contemporary Asian Art. Independently, he has presented projects through numerous channels, including Creative Time Summit, Art Museum at the University of Toronto, CONTACT Photography Festival, OCT Contemporary Art Terminal Shenzhen, The New Gallery, Vtape, Trinity Square Video, and Toronto Fringe Festival. His writings have been published by Canadian Art, ArtAsiaPacific, Yishu: Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art, and for Richmond Art Gallery, PLATFORM Gallery, ArchDaily, and Gardiner Museum. In his research, Lu investigates often overlooked narratives surrounding cultural identities and inequalities during the twenty-first century.
