Kunlin He
Kunlin He is currently based in San Francisco. His work focuses on redefining Asian identities, territories, borders, and nationalism, as well as Chinese masculinity in traditional art and philosophy. He received an M.F.A. from San Francisco Art Institute in 2016 and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2018. He is a graduate fellow and affiliated artist at Headlands Center for the Arts (2017–19). His work has been included in exhibitions at the Drawing Center, Headlands Center for the Arts, and Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco. He has been selected as one of the finalists for the 2019 SFMOMA SECA Award. He is also a regular contributor for Chinese Photography Magazine.
