Lesley Ma
Lesley Ma is Curator of Ink Art at M+, Hong Kong, and organised The Weight of Lightness: Ink Art at M+. She was involved in Mobile M+: Live Art (2015) and organised M+ Matters: Postwar Abstraction in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan (2014). In 2013, Ma was a visiting researcher for Asia Art Archive and co-curated Great Crescent: Art and Agitation in the 1960s—Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan at Para Site (2013), which toured Tokyo (2015) and Mexico City (2016). Previously she was Project Director at Cai Guo-Qiang studio in New York and Curatorial Coordinator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. Ma has a Ph.D. in art history, theory, and criticism from the University of California, San Diego, and is a recipient of the Fifth Yishu Awards for Critical Writing on Contemporary Chinese Art in 2015.
