Liang Shang-Huei is a M.A. candidate in Art History, Theory & Criticism at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her research and writing interests include modernism and comparative avant-gardes, sociocultural issues of labor, work, production, translation, and documentation, as well as the use of archive in contemporary art. She is a regular contributor to The Art Newspaper China. Interested in materials and processes, she can be found in the ceramics and printmaking studio making functional pottery or challenging the role of traditional printing in contemporary image making.
