1Lu Pei-Yi
Lu Pei-Yi is a researcher, curator, and art
critic. She recently received her Ph.D. in
Humanities and Cultural Studies from the
London Consortium, Birkbeck College,
University of London. Her thesis is about
off-site art curating. Before studying in the United Kingdom, she worked in several
different art institutions, including as curator at Fubon Art Foundations (Taipei) and as independent curator and project manager at Cave Art Centre (Taipei). Her curating experiences include Random-ize Taipei: International Video Art Exhibition (2003) and Very Fun Park: Contemporary Art in East Taipei (Taipei, 2001). In 2003, Lu took part in a curator residency program in Sydney offered by the Taipei City Department of Cultural Affairs and Australian China Council. She is also a regular contributor to art magazines such as ARTCO and Artist.
