Mark Dean Johnson

Mark Dean Johnson is Professor of Art and Gallery Director at San Francisco State University, where he curated the exhibition The Moment for Ink (2014). He was a co-curator of the exhibition Asian/American/Modern Art: Shifting Currents, 1900–1970 at the de Young Museum (San Francisco, 2008) and China’s Changing Landscape: Contemporary Ink Today at the Nordic Watercolour Museum (Sweden, 2014). He was also the Principal Editor of the reference book and anthology Asian American Art: A History, 1850–1970 (Stanford University Press: 2008).
