Mathieu Borysevicz
Mathieu Borysevicz is an artist, critic, and curator based in New York and Shanghai. He has been involved with contemporary art in China since 1994, and is currently Editor for Artforum in Shanghai. His writing has appeared in publications such as Art in America, Art Asia Pacific, tema celeste, and Yishu Dangdai. His photography and video work has been shown internationally at the Tribeca Film Festival; the Institute of Contemporary Art, London; the Bauhaus; the Today Art Museum, Beijing; the Bronx Museum; and the Israeli Center for Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv. His current book project, Learning from Hangzhou, a photographic case study that examines the relationship between architecture and signage in Hangzhou, will be released by Timezone 8 in early 2009.
