Melissa Lam

Melissa Lam is an independent art curator and writer currently based in Hong Kong. She has been involved in many projects, among them the Hong Kong Equestrian Park project (2008), Beijing Olympics Sculpture Commission (2008), Vancouver Sculpture Biennale (2007), and SCAPE Christchurch Biennial (2006). In 2007 she curated a Madrid street show entitled TeGustoLoQueVes meets HK (Spain) as well as Dennis Oppenheim: 6 Models at Para/Site Art Space (Hong Kong). She is currently completing a show with Beijing curator Chunchen Wang entitled Conveying the Marvelous: Chinese Contemporary Art and the Fantastic (2009). Lam holds a lecturing position at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, teaching English literature and art theory.
