1Mostafa Heddaya
Mostafa Heddaya is a writer, editor, and doctoral candidate in the Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University, where he studies modern and African art. Prior to beginning graduate school in 2016, he worked as a journalist and critic in New York for several years, and he has since contributed essays and reviews to Art in America, The Art Newspaper, Art News, and ArtAsiaPacific, among other publications. He recently convened Fake Friends, a symposium on comparison and similitude in art history after the so-called global turn, held at Princeton and the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia.
