Roberto Figliulo

Roberto Figliulo earned his BA and MA in Asian studies at the University of Bologna. His research is focused on Chinese art, with a special focus on lens-based practices. In 2016 he concluded his doctoral research at the Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. His PhD dissertation explores the relationship between public and private spaces in contemporary art as represented by Chinese photographers. He is a professor of Asian art at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and a professor of East Asian Studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He is a member of the research group Inter- Asia at the Universitat Autònoma in Barcelona.
