Winnie Won Yin Wong

Winnie Won Yin Wong is a Ph.D. candidate in History, Theory, and Criticism of Architecture and Art at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research interests include transnational issues in intellectual property, consumer culture, and contemporary art and design. She completed her Master’s degree at MIT in 2002, with a thesis on the product placement industry in Hollywood entitled Manufacturing Realisms. She is currently writing on Dafen village in her dissertation, After the Copy: China’s Dafen Village and the Hand Painted Art Product.
