Yongwoo Lee

Lee Yongwoo is an art theoretician and curator. Over the last thirty years, he has been reexamining and curating exhibitions related to discourses of visual culture as a social practice connecting art, technology, and information. Lee was artistic director of the Gwangju Biennale in 2004 and now serves as the president of the Gwangju Biennale Foundation. He was Professor of Art History and Visual Culture at the Korea University and the executive director of the New York Center for New Media Art.
