Franziska Koch
Franziska Koch has been assistant to the chair of Global Art History (Monica Juneja) in the Cluster of Excellence Asia and Europe in a Global Context at the Universität Heidelberg since July 2009. She is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Art History and Theory at Philipps-Universität Marburg. Between 2006 and 2009 she was a member of the graduate program Image-Body-Medium: An Anthropological Approach at the Hochschule für Gestaltung, Karlsruhe. She holds a degree in art education (painting, graphics, art history, and multimedia art) from the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Stuttgart. She spent one year studying in the Department of Oriental Painting at Seoul National University in South Korea (2000/01) and six months in the Department of National Painting (guohua) at Shandong Normal University in Jinan, China (2003).
