Joan Lebold Cohen

Joan Lebold Cohen is an art historian and photographer who specializes in Chinese art and film. She is a research fellow at Harvard University’s Fairbank Center for East Asian Studies and an associate of the Columbia University Modern China Seminar. Among the several books she has authored is The New Chinese Painting,1949-1986, which introduced recent generations of Chinese artists to the West.
