Natasha Chuk, Ph.D., is a media theorist, arts writer, educator, and independent curator whose focus is situated at the intersection between art, philosophy, and creative technologies. Her writing has appeared in Millennium Film Journal, Chronogram, FLAT Journal, and other publications and edited volumes. She is the author of the monographs Vanishing Points: Articulations of Death, Fragmentation, and the Unexperienced Experience of Created Objects (Intellect, 2015) and the forthcoming Photo Obscura: The Photographic in Post-Photography (Intellect, 2015 ), which critically examines the influence and the transformation of the photographic image amid emerging image-practices in the digital age. She teaches courses in the areas of film, photography, video game studies, new media art, art history, and media theory at the School of Visual Arts and Parsons, New York City.
