1Phyllis Hanyang Zhong
Phyllis Hanyang Zhong is an art historian and scholar of transcultural studies based in
Germany. Her research focuses on the twentieth-century Chinese painting, postwar Sino-American artistic and cultural exchange, contemporary Asian visual culture, and feminist art practices. She holds dual PhD degrees in East Asian Art History from Heidelberg University, Germany, and in Asian and African Studies from Ca\' Foscari University, Italy. She received her MA in the History of Art from University College London (UCL) and a BA with double majors in Communication and East Asian Studies from the University of Southern California.
